Job summary

LG Electronics is hiring a Production Supervisor in Tennessee to lead the Paint department operations and drive continuous improvement. You will plan daily production, mentor operators, ensure material availability, and uphold safety and quality standards across shifts.

You will collaborate with maintenance and other departments to optimize throughput, enforce 5S, and respond promptly to quality issues while guiding a diverse team of operators and technicians.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 5+ years of production experience.
  • Experience mentoring/coaching operators.
  • Strong understanding of complex equipment and system integration.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing metrics and equipment efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Create the daily Paint operations plan.
  • Provide line leaders with daily start-up meeting information.
  • Manage training needs of Paint operators, technicians and line leaders.
  • Verify raw material availability and report shortages.
  • Monitor and enforce plant policies and procedures.
  • Assist Manager with reviewing the work performance of operators, technicians and line leaders.
  • Manage the quality systems in the Paint department.
  • Monitor product quality and respond to internal customer issues.
  • Achieve established daily targets for Safety, Quality, IF Cost, Idle Time, UPH & 5S.
  • Interact with other functional departments as necessary.
  • Make radio calls to PM & AGV technicians as required.
  • Maintain payroll for Press employees.
  • Apply corrective actions to Press employees as required.
  • Ensure materials / supplies are used efficiently.
  • Understand, teach, personify, and enforce FI-11 & 5S standards.
  • Attend production planning meetings, other meetings, and training sessions as required.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing including machine capabilities and efficiencies, etc.
