Job summary

LG Electronics USA in Clarksville, TN leads innovative manufacturing operations and seeks a production supervisor for the Paint department. You will plan daily operations, coordinate start-up information, and guide training for operators and line leaders.

You will drive quality systems, monitor safety, and support cross-functional teams while ensuring efficient material use and adherence to FI-11 & 5S standards. Occasional international travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 5+ years of production experience.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching operators.
  • Strong understanding of production of complex equipment and system integration.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Occasional international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Create the daily Paint operations plan.
  • Provide line leaders with daily start-up information.
  • Oversee training for Paint operators, technicians, and line leaders.
  • Verify raw material availability and report shortages.
  • Monitor and enforce plant policies and procedures.
  • Assist Manager with performance reviews of operators, technicians, and line leaders.
  • Maintain the quality systems in the Paint department and address quality issues.
  • Ensure safety and productivity targets (Safety, Quality, IF Cost, Idle Time, UPH, 5S).
  • Coordinate with other departments; raise issues as needed.
  • Make radio calls to PM & AGV technicians as required.
  • Manage payroll for Press employees and enforce actions as needed.
  • Ensure materials are used efficiently and uphold FI-11 & 5S standards.
  • Attend production planning and other training meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating the daily Paint operations plan
  • Responsible for providing the line leaders with daily start-up meeting information
  • Responsible for managing the training needs of Paint operators, technicians and line leaders
  • Responsible to verify raw material availability and report any shortages
  • Monitor and enforce plant policies and procedures
  • Assists Manager with reviewing the work performance of operators, technicians and line leaders
  • Responsible for managing the quality systems in the Paint department
  • Monitor product for any quality issues and respond to internal customer issues, as needed
  • Achieve established daily performance targets for Safety, Quality, IF Cost, Idle Time, UPH & 5S
  • Interact with other functional departments as necessary
  • Make radio calls to PM & AGV technicians as required
  • Maintain payroll for Press employees
  • Apply corrective actions to Press employees as required.
  • Ensure materials / supplies are used efficiently
  • Understand, teach, personify, and enforce FI-11 & 5S standards
  • Attend production planning meetings, other meetings, and training sessions as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ yearsof Productionexperience
  • Experience in mentoring and/or coachingOperators
  • Strong understanding of production of complex equipment and system integration
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements
  • Ability to use strong skills in analyzing, troubleshooting and evaluating problems
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing including machine capabilities and efficiencies, etc.
  • Some occasional international travel required
