Job summary

The Norfolk Companies is seeking a Paint Department Supervisor to lead the paint department, coach a team of Paint Sales associates, and ensure excellent customer experiences. You will oversee daily operations, merchandising, and color-matching issues, guiding the team to maintain a professional, shopper-friendly environment.

Ideal candidates bring 4–5 years in a high-volume hardware retail setting and 3+ years with paint products, including tinting and color matching.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-5 years' experience in a high-volume hardware retail environment is required.
• At least 3+ years of experience working with paint products, including tinting, mixing, and color matching.
• Prior experience leading, training, or supervising other associates.
• Self-motivated and available to work weekend hours.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs without assistance frequently.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and schedule a team of Paint Sales associates
• Oversee daily department operations, stocking levels, and merchandising
• Handle escalated color-matching, tinting, or product issues
• Assist customers with paint product selection and application questions
