Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Store Sales Associate to join our US Commercial team in Buffalo, NY. You will assist retail and contractor customers, offer product recommendations and color matching, and process orders with a focus on delivering exceptional service.

Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience, with typical store hours Monday–Friday 7am–5pm, Saturday 8am–12pm, Sunday closed. Health, dental, and retirement benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills for professional interactions with customers.
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support.
• Willingness to work a schedule including mornings and weekends as needed.
• Capability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicle when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions.
• Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing.
• Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications.
• Build knowledge of The Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes.
• Process customer orders and payments through phone, in-person, online, and email channels.
• Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals.
• Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle.
• Resolve customer concerns and escape issues when needed.
• Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed.
