Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Production Operator – Paint Processor for the 3rd shift (9pm-7am) in Huron, OH. You will support dispersion, thindown, quality evaluation, and batch adjustments while producing batches safely according to specifications and documenting results.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-focused environment, with readiness for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn production and inventory systems.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and accurately document work.
• Ability to distinguish between colors and shades.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Team oriented with focus on safety and quality.
• Completion of required safety and job-specific training.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate mixing and processing equipment according to production instructions.
• Accurately add raw materials to batches in the correct order and amounts.
• Record batch information such as temperatures, mix times, speeds, and adjustments.
• Move and stage materials using forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Monitor batches during processing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform quality checks and adjust color, viscosity, or strength as directed.
