Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company in Louisville, KY is seeking a Production Operator - Paint Processor to support dispersion, thindown, quality evaluation, and batch adjustments. Starting pay is $24.67 per hour.

This full-time position follows a 2nd shift (10:00 AM–8:45 PM, Mon-Thu, with potential overtime on Fri/Sat) and offers full-time benefits. Qualifications include 1–3 years in manufacturing, strong attention to detail, color vision, and the ability to work in a team.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn production and inventory systems.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and accurately document work.
• Ability to distinguish between colors and shades.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to complete required safety and job specific training.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices.
• Operate mixing and processing equipment according to production instructions.
• Accurately add raw materials to batches in the correct order and amounts.
• Use forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and stage materials.
• Monitor batches during processing to ensure quality standards are being met.
• Perform quality checks and make adjustments to color, viscosity, or strength as directed.
• Transfer materials between tanks or vessels using pumps and transfer hoses.
• Record batch information such as temperatures, mix times, speeds, and adjustments.
