Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Production Operator - Paint Processor to join a team manufacturing paints, stains, and related materials. You will operate mixing equipment, handle materials with forklifts, and maintain clean records in a safety‑driven environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and 80 lbs occasionally, wearing PPE, and following precise instructions. Second shift (Mon‑Thu 3 PM–1 AM) with training on 1st shift possible for 3–6 months.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Lift up to 50 pounds routinely and up to 80 pounds infrequently.
• Must wear PPE including hard hat, FR uniform, steel/composite‑toe safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.
• Able to bend, reach, and lift during tasks that involve transfer hoses, drums, or similar materials.
• Follow detailed instructions and record progress.
• Stand for extended periods and work in a team environment.
• Ability to safely operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT).
• Complete and demonstrate understanding of required safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate mixing equipment according to written instructions.

• Maintain accurate records and a clean, orderly work area.
• Work in a PSM building that includes solvents and solvent‑borne materials.
