Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company in Huron, OH is seeking a Production Operator – Paint Processor to support production processes including dispersion, thindown, quality evaluation, and batch adjustments. This role is responsible for safely producing batches according to specifications, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring product quality standards are met.

The starting pay is $22.61/hour plus a $1.00/hour shift premium for the 3rd shift (9 PM–7 AM, Sun night through Wed night; possible

Qualifications

1–3 years of manufacturing or production experience.
Basic computer skills for production and inventory systems.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and document work accurately.
Ability to distinguish colors and shades.
Strong safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

Operate mixing and processing equipment according to production instructions.
Accurately add raw materials to batches in the correct order and amounts.
Monitor batches during processing to ensure quality standards are met; make adjustments as directed.
Record batch information such as temperatures, mix times, speeds, and adjustments.
Transfer materials between tanks or vessels using pumps and hoses.
Move and stage materials using forklifts and other equipment.
