Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is hiring a Production Operator – Paint Processor in Louisville, KY to support dispersion, thindown, quality evaluation, and batch adjustments. Starting pay is $24.67 per hour.

The successful candidate will safely produce batches per specifications, maintain accurate documentation, and help uphold product quality. Ideal applicants will have 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, good color discernment, attention to detail, and a teamwork-focused mindset with safety

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn production and inventory systems.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and document work accurately.
• Ability to distinguish colors and shades.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to complete required safety and job-specific training.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules and standard safety practices.
• Operate mixing and processing equipment according to production instructions.
• Accurately add raw materials to batches in the correct order and amounts.
• Use forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and stage materials.
• Monitor batches during processing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform quality checks and make adjustments to color, viscosity, or strength as directed.
• Transfer materials between tanks or vessels using pumps and transfer hoses.
• Record batch information such as temperatures, mix times, speeds, and adjustments.
