Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company in Oakwood, GA is seeking a Production Operator – Paint Processor to support dispersion, thindown, quality evaluation, and batch adjustments. You will safely produce batches to specifications and maintain documentation.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work on a team. Training will start on the 1st shift for 6–8 weeks, with 2nd shift hours after.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn production and inventory systems.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and accurately document work.
• Ability to distinguish between colors and shades.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Team oriented attitude with a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to complete required safety and job specific training.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices.
• Operate mixing and processing equipment according to production instructions.
• Accurately add raw materials to batches in the correct order and amounts.
• Use forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and stage materials.
• Monitor batches during processing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform quality checks and make adjustments to color, viscosity, or strength as directed.
• Transfer materials between tanks or vessels using pumps and transfer hoses.
• Record batch information such as temperatures, mix times, speeds, and adjustments.
