Qualifications

• Reading and following work instructions, job travelers, part identification, production schedules, and coating requirements.
• Experience with reading production specifications and work orders is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for the paint process (cleaning, masking, hanging, staging).
• Read and follow work instructions, travelers, part IDs, schedules, and coating requirements.
• Operate or support paint-line, coating, curing, or related production equipment according to instructions and safety procedures.
• Apply or assist with paint or coating application to achieve required coverage and finish.
• Verify parts are correctly identified, positioned, and prepared before entering the paint process.
• Inspect painted/coated parts for defects such as missed coverage, runs, contamination, or damage.
• Monitor process conditions and identify potential equipment, material, quality, or production issues.
• Make routine process or equipment adjustments and communicate needs for support.
• Perform basic preventative care and minor equipment maintenance including cleaning.
• Handle and store paint, coating materials, masking supplies, and related materials.
• Load/unload/rack/move/identify/count/stack/package/stage parts safely.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area; follow housekeeping requirements.
• Complete required production, quality, and operational documentation accurately.
• Communicate safety, quality, equipment, material, or production concerns promptly to leadership.
• Follow Morton Industries policies, procedures, work instructions, PPE requirements, and safety/environmental rules.
• Support production needs by performing other duties as assigned.
