Job summary

Steffes is seeking a Paint Technician to apply paint products in accordance with customer and QMS specifications. The Day Shift runs 6:00a–4:30p, Monday through Thursday, with Friday overtime based on production needs.

You will operate spray equipment, perform sanding, maintain spray guns, and meet safety and quality requirements. Follow build boards and Kanban system requirements, report inconsistencies or defects, and work collaboratively with customers, suppliers, and teammates to support

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
1+ years of related work experience.
Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet).
Familiarity with HVLP or electrostatic guns and related equipment is a plus.
Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills.
An acceptable combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Apply paint products per customer and QMS specifications.
Follow standard work, training guides, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
Operate paint spray equipment, sanding tools, and hand tools.
Maintain and clean spray guns and related equipment.
Follow build boards and Kanban system requirements.
Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product or equipment.
Maintain a collaborative positive work atmosphere with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
Other duties may be assigned.
