Job summary

Steffes is seeking a dependable paint technician to apply paint products per customer specifications using spray and tooling equipment at our Shelby, NC facility. You will follow standard work, maintain equipment, and support Kanban workflows while reporting defects and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires basic computer skills, a High School Diploma or GED, and 1+ years in related painting work; familiarity with HVLP/electrostatic systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in a related painting or finishing role.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet).
• Familiarity with HVLP or electrostatic painting equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Application of paint products in accordance with customer and QMS specifications/requirements.
• Follow standard work, training guides, procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements.
• Able to use paint spray equipment, sanding equipment, and various hand tools.
• Maintain and clean spray guns and related equipment.
• Follow and understand build boards and Kanban system requirements.
• Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product, or equipment.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by collaborating with customers, suppliers, coworkers, and management.
