Job summary

CSP (Teijin Automotive Technologies) in Ohio is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to enhance the paint operations, lead PLC and automation upgrades, and improve production metrics across the line.

You will design and implement control strategies, read blueprints, and collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years engineering or controls experience in manufacturing.
• Automotive or Tier 1 supplier experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve paint department design, robustness, and process control.
• Lead equipment, automation, and control panel upgrades.
• Integrate conveyor control with paint robots and automation.
• Enhance data acquisition for production reporting and metrics.
• Implement safety upgrades and regulatory compliance.
