Job summary

Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse in Pain Management (Circulator) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. The RN will direct and coordinate care with LPNs, CNAs, and unit staff while ensuring patient education and safety throughout the care process.

The role requires Florida RN licensure with Bachelor’s degree preferred; orientation and competency checklists must be completed.

Qualifications

• State-licensed RN in Florida.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Completion of general and nursing orientation.
• Unit orientation and competency checklist completed.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and colleagues.
• Certifications as required by the unit.
• Annual competency-based learning modules (CBL).
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ethics in care.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient on admission and ongoing condition.
• Plan and coordinate care based on assessment and needs.
• Involve family/significant others in the plan of care as desired.
• Initiate individualized teaching for positive outcomes and timely discharge.
• Administer medications according to policies and document accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.
• Direct, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for team members.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to Cornerstone standards.
