Job summary

Halifax Health, a leading health system in Florida, seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide pain services across the pre/post-anesthesia care unit. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, directing LPNs, CNAs, and support staff while coordinating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license (Florida or eligible) and excellent communication skills to engage patients, families, and colleagues,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher (preferred).
• RN license in Florida; state requirements met.
• Strong communication with patients, families and colleagues.
• Proven ability to document and monitor patient status.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions on admission and ongoing basis.
• Plan, implement and evaluate nursing care per patient needs.
• Coordinate with LPN, CNA, and other staff to deliver care.
• Involve family in plan of care and discharge planning.
• Administer medications following hospital policies.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
