Job summary

Halifax Health ExpressCare in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Pre/PACU Interventional Pain unit. The RN provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, directing the care of LPNs, CNAs, and support staff.

The role requires a nursing degree from an accredited school, Florida RN licensure, orientation completion, and unit-specific competency. Strong communication with patients, families and the care team is essential, as are ongoing learning

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing; bachelor degree preferred.
• Completion of general and nursing orientation.
• Unit orientation and unit-specific competency checklist.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Certifications as required by the unit.
• Annual competency-based learning modules (CBLs).

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient on admission and monitors ongoing status.
• Plans and coordinates care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Involves family/significant others in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Administers medications and documents care per policies.
