Job summary

Pain Physicians Of Wisconsin SC seeks a Triage staff member to join a multidisciplinary care team serving patients with chronic pain. You will handle frontline calls, assess patient needs, document thoroughly, obtain prior authorizations, and liaise with physicians and NPs/PAs to direct care.

The role emphasizes prompt communication, accurate documentation, and collaborative problem solving in a clinical setting. An LPN/MA background and strong customer service are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited LPN program.
• Strong organizational, judgment, communication, and analytical skills; sometimes under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
• Cooperative and professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, leadership, and visitors.
• Ability to promote favorable facility image with patients, providers, insurance companies and general public.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and problem solve.
• Evidence of leadership qualities; contribute to department improvement; participate in committees, task forces, etc.
• Team-oriented with excellent customer service.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Responding promptly to each incoming call.
• Assessing patient condition.
• Thoroughly completing documentation.
• Prior authorization for medication.
• Communicating with Physicians and NP/PA.
• Making critical assessments
• Directing patients to the most appropriate form of care once they have found out as much information from the patient as possible.
• They recommend either that the patient seeks emergency treatment, schedules a consultation with a doctor or treats the condition themselves.
• All other duties as assigned.
