Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for our Jackson area team. No prior experience is necessary as you will learn under experienced professionals while performing field tasks and testing on construction sites.

You will complete soils, aggregates, and concrete tests, collect data, and communicate regularly with project managers. The company offers training, certification opportunities, and development support as you grow professionally.

Qualifications

No experience required; paid training provided.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
Must have a valid driver's license and insurance.
Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

Field Activities: observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites under supervision.
Perform routine field/lab tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete following industry standards.
Collect data and perform calculations from sampling and test results; assist with drafting and admin duties.
Maintain communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report changes to supervisor.
Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings precisely.
