Job summary

ECS Group is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Princeton team. No experience is required, as you will learn under experienced professionals.

Training is provided and certification fees are covered as you advance in our dynamic environment. Responsibilities include field activities, testing procedures, data collection, and strong communication with site contractors and project managers.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and applications, as well as ASTM laboratory standards, leading to certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials, including soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction materials testing project sites; Execute tasks under guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers.
