Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a motivated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for our Auburn, Alabama team. No prior experience is required as you learn under seasoned professionals to safely perform field tasks.

You will conduct observations, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete, with training provided to obtain relevant certifications. A strong work ethic and ability to lift up to 85 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and operate field equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
• Willing to learn CMT principles and ASTM standards for certifications.

Responsibilities

• Observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
• Collect data and assist with calculations and documentation.
• Communicate site conditions and testing requests to supervisors and project managers.
• Receive training in ECS methodologies for observations, inspections, and testing.
