Job summary

U-Haul in Ankeny, IA seeks a Customer Service Representative who will be the face of our service, assisting customers with rentals, inspections, and equipment; using U-Scan tech to manage dispatch and inventory; and supporting a friendly, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include helping customers inside/outside the center, inspecting equipment, preparing invoices, installing hitches, and completing prerequisites such as upcoming propane handling and forklift certification through

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Propane filling and forklift certification offered through U-Haul upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including fluids checks.
• Educate customers about products and services; prepare rental invoices and process returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring; fuel up propane as required.
