Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Current enrollment in an accredited prelicensure nursing program with anticipated graduation within 12 months.
• Nursing Assistant I certification (North Carolina).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Observes, collects, and documents patient information and reports changes to RN.
• Assist patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Provide care/treatments per plan of care, e.g., vital signs, wound care, ROM, etc.
• Provide direct personal care for activities of daily living.
• Perform indirect care tasks: cleaning, linens, restocking, sterilizing, transporting, and clerical duties.
