Job summary

SMS group Inc in Pittsburgh, PA is offering a structured, 12-week internship for students in engineering, technical or business fields. This full-time program runs late May 2027 – early August 2027 and pays hourly, with 40 hours per week.

You will own a real project, be mentored by a department lead, and participate in cross-functional Discovery Sessions with Engineering, Operations, Finance and Safety. Site tours and networking are part of the experience.

Qualifications

• Current students in engineering, technical, or business fields.
• Comfortable owning your work and collaborating across a team.
• Motivated to learn fast and grow into leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own a real project in your department, backed by a dedicated Department Lead and a 1:1 mentor.
• Explore the whole company through weekly cross-functional Discovery Sessions with departments like Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Safety.
• Get out of the office for site tours, global networking, and team events.
• Cap the summer by presenting your work to SMS leadership at the August Capstone.
