Job summary

Austin Industries is offering a 12-week Summer Internal Audit Internship in Dallas, TX, reporting to our corporate headquarters. The program provides hands-on experience supporting internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across our construction operations.

As an active junior or senior pursuing Accounting or Finance, you will assist with data analysis, audit testing, and documentation review while learning from experienced audit professionals in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must be an active junior or senior college student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with targeted graduation between Dec 2027 and Dec 2028.
• Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to commute onsite to Dallas, TX.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex audits of major construction and maintenance projects to assess effectiveness of processes and compliance with policy.
• Assist assigned audit program sections for completion.
• Develop workpapers and display testing attributes clearly.
• Perform interviews, document results, update workpapers and audit steps; conclude on control assessments.
• Travel approximately 10% to project sites for audits.
