Milliken and Company invites applications for the Gilliland Plant Summer Intern position in Laurens, SC. This 11–12 week full-time, paid internship offers hands-on experience in Technical Textiles, with a 40-hour work week from May to August.

Responsibilities include supporting projects, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to drive business impact. Qualified candidates are rising juniors or seniors pursuing a BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related fields,

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior at a university.
• Working towards a BS degree ( Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial engineering major or related field)
• Able to participate in the Intern Leadership Forum in Spartanburg, SC
• Able to participate in the final presentation review in August in Spartanburg, SC

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities and key projects within the Gilliland Plant (Technical Textiles)
• Our project scope will focus on material traceability or chemical optimization.
• Conduct research, analysis, or data review to support business decisions
• Assist in developing reports, presentations, or process documentation
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the organization
• Identify opportunities for process improvement or efficiency gains
• Present project findings, recommendations, or results
