Job summary

Milliken & Company is seeking a Summer Intern for Manufacturing at the Highland Plant in Cheraw, SC. The role offers a paid hourly position with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, running from mid-May to the first week of August.

You will work on a significant process improvement project under a Senior Process Engineer or a Process Improvement Manager. Ideal candidates are rising juniors or seniors pursuing a BS degree, with interest in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior at a university.
• Working towards a BS degree.
• Able to participate in the Intern Leadership Forum in Spartanburg, SC.
• Able to participate in the final presentation review in August in Spartanburg, SC.
• Preferred majors: Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial engineering.

Job Summary:

The Milliken Summer Intern position gives rising university juniors or seniors an opportunity to work on a significant process improvement project in a manufacturing environment. This position is located at the Highland Plant in Cheraw, SC. You will report directly to a manager - either a Senior Process Engineer or a Process Improvement Manager. The position is a paid hourly wage position, and the work schedule is generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The summer intern program begins in mid-May and ends the first week of August.
