Job summary

Excellus BCBS is offering a 10-week paid Summer College Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns work on meaningful projects across multiple tracks, are mentored by managers, and attend development workshops to ease the transition from school to corporate life.

Participants may explore both technical and non-technical areas and will gain exposure to key business concepts while balancing a 40-hour week during June through August.

Qualifications

• Computing Sciences & IT, Risk Management, Data Analytics or similar program.
• Ability to work with Excel and understand risk concepts.
• High School diploma with proof of continuous college enrollment.
• In good academic standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Proactive, creative and flexible in completing tasks.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support advancing Cyber Risk Management through creativity and development of Risk Indicators, early warning indicators and cyber maturity.
• Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects.
• Complete work assignments based on business needs, priorities, and qualifications.
• Perform a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks across a broad range of projects.
• Create and deliver presentations at internship completion.
• Maintain confidentiality and protection of member privacy per company policies.
• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
• Performs other functions as assigned by management.
