Job summary

Excellus Health Plan Inc. seeks a Summer College Intern to contribute to data-driven community health projects during a 10-week program. You will be mentored, participate in development workshops, and work on cross-disciplinary assignments across health, analytics, and operations.

Responsibilities include supporting initiatives to improve health outcomes, presenting findings, and collaborating with staff in a dynamic environment. Housing is not provided; remote work may be possible case-by-case.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in a relevant field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact at all levels.
• Interest in health equity, community health, and data-informed decision making.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis basics.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic initiatives to improve community health outcomes through data-informed decisions.
• Engage with community health, program implementation, and evaluation teams.
• Develop educational programming and assist with framework development for disparities.
• Prepare presentations and summarize findings for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with mentors and complete tasks aligned to business priorities.
