Job summary

Koch Fertilizer is seeking an Environmental Engineering Intern to join our team for a 12-week summer internship in Dodge City, Kansas. You will work with the EHS team on environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, gaining exposure to major environmental regulations and data-driven decision making.

The program runs late May to mid-August 2027 and is a paid internship designed to provide meaningful experience and impact within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program (e.g., 4-year or 2-year) in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Earth Science, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
• Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2029.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance programs and regulatory initiatives via permit reviews, reporting, and documentation.
• Analyze environmental data and develop reporting and tracking tools.
• Perform calculations and support reviews related to air emissions, wastewater, and waste management.
• Participate in sampling, inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to verify compliance.
• Assist with investigations, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and EHS teams on projects balancing field experience with engineering analysis.
