Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is offering a Summer 2027 Environmental Engineering Intern role in Fort Dodge, IA. The 12-week paid internship provides hands-on experience with regulatory programs, data analysis, and environmental projects within the EHS team.

Join a team focused on environmental compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement across major regulations, with opportunities to contribute to permit reviews, reporting, and analytical tool development.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a degree program in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2028.
Legally authorized to work permanently in the United States without visa transfer or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Support environmental compliance programs and regulatory initiatives by assisting with permit reviews, reporting, documentation, and environmental assessments.
Analyze environmental data and develop tools that improve reporting, compliance tracking, and decision‑making.
Perform engineering calculations and support regulatory reviews related to air emissions, wastewater, waste management, and other environmental programs.
Participate in environmental sampling, inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to verify compliance and environmental performance.
Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects that reduce risk and enhance environmental systems.
Partner with operations, maintenance, and EHS teams on projects balancing field experience with engineering analysis.
