Job summary

Koch Fertilizer has a summer 2027 opportunity in Dodge City, Kansas, for an Operations Intern. The 12-week program runs from late May to mid-August 2027 and provides hands-on experience in plant operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and data recording.

You will collaborate with operators, maintenance, reliability, and process engineers to improve equipment reliability, while following safety procedures and gaining exposure to real-world industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree/cert program related to Instrumentation and Controls, Industrial Technology, Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or Operations Management.
• Eligible for full-time employment by May 2028.
• Willing and able to meet all physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support daily plant operations by assisting with operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Perform operational rounds, monitor process conditions, and record data to help ensure safe and reliable plant performance.
• Partner with operators, maintenance, reliability engineers, and process engineers to improve equipment reliability.
• Follow safety, environmental, and operating procedures while gaining hands-on experience.
• Work on projects and tasks representative of full-time operators' work.
