Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Dallas, TX is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program. You will assist in analysis, design, and oversight of civil systems, supporting field inspections, report writing, and permit applications.

The internship is paid and mentored, with real project work across municipal, university, and utility sectors in Texas, offering exposure to design teams and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Strong interest in design consulting and civil projects.
• Clear oral and written communication across teams and stakeholders.
• May assist with field duties such as surveying and materials testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of civil projects according to code and IMEG standards
• Research resources for commercially available equipment
• Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files
• Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, etc.)
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring progress
• Review project documents for accuracy before final checks
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services as required by the contract services agreement
