Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern in King of Prussia, PA for a 10-12 week summer program. You’ll assist in analysis, design, and implementation oversight of structural systems while working closely with experienced engineers.

This paid internship offers hands-on project work, mentorship, and a clear path to full-time roles. 100% employee-owned firm with cross-discipline collaboration across several markets.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong interest in design consulting and collaboration across disciplines.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural design tasks for discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Research project information and identify relevant resources.
• Support client relations, maintain project design notebooks, and document materials for permanent record files.
• Coordinate design activities and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and supplier partners.
• Document design decisions, meetings, client instructions, and project progress promptly.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
• Help prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services required by the contract services agreement.
