Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Risk & Disputes Intern to analyze and respond to card and ACH disputes. You will collaborate with fraud/risk and disputes teams to determine actions for each case and scale processes with leadership. The role involves data analysis, applying internal policies, and leveraging AI tools to boost productivity.

This paid internship requires a Monday–Friday schedule (9:00 am–5:30 pm CT) as a full-time opportunity with potential for advancement in a dynamic fintech team.

Qualifications

• Experience in analyzing data and comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent business judgment and communication skills
• Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputed card, debit card, and ACH transactions to resolve disputes within timeframes
• Work with fraud and disputes teams to determine next steps on a case-by-case basis
• Analyze individual transactions using internal policies and review methodologies to identify patterns
• Understand systems and tools; analyze account patterns through data analysis
• Collaborate with analysts, operations, data scientists and engineering to improve loss prevention mechanisms
