Job summary

Crane Currency in Dalton, Massachusetts is offering a paid internship in the Process Engineering department. This onsite role provides hands-on experience with our manufacturing and quality improvement initiatives while you advance your engineering education.

You will work on projects such as process optimization, yield improvement, and support for manufacturing trials, security feature development, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited institution pursuing a degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Manufacturing.
• Chemical Engineering major preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical/problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team-player.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
• Candidate has completed at least one full year of college or university studies; higher preference to rising Juniors or Seniors.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an ability to demonstrate and maintain suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Critical manufacturing and product development initiatives, including process optimization, and yield improvement projects.
• Involvement in manufacturing trials, security feature development activities, statistical analysis, technical investigations, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Problem solving, and project work that supports productivity, quality, and process capability improvements.
