You will rotate through various nursing units, learning from experienced Mercy nurses who mentor you to develop essential clinical skills.

Participants gain hands-on practice in a supportive acute care environment, with opportunities to interact with clinical leaders and explore specialty areas that align with career goals.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least 2 nursing semesters including one clinical rotation.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program.
• Able to commit to 24 hours per week during the externship period.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through multiple nursing units to gain diverse experience.
• Learn directly from Mercy nurses and preceptors to build confidence and skills.
• Develop hands-on patient-care competencies and professional bedside manner.
