Job summary

Mercy Nursing Externship offers a paid winter externship designed for nursing students to accelerate growth and gain hands-on experience at the bedside under the supervision of experienced Mercy nurses.

You will work approximately 24 hours per week (two 12-hour shifts) and rotate through a variety of nursing units, gaining exposure to diverse patient populations while learning directly from mentors dedicated to your success.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have completed at least 2 semesters of nursing school, including a minimum of one round of clinicals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in clinical work under the direction of an RN.
• Assist in individualized patient care to support wellness goals.
• Rotate through nursing units to gain exposure to diverse patient populations.
