Mercy South Winter Externship in St. Louis, MO offers a paid hands-on learning opportunity for nursing students. You will work approximately 36 hours per week under the supervision of Mercy nurses, rotating through multiple units to bridge classroom learning with real-world practice.

Applicants must have completed at least two nursing semesters and at least one clinical round by start date. A potential path to a PRN Nurse Technician position may be available after the externship.

Qualifications

• Must be a nursing student enrolled in an approved program.
• Completed at least two nursing school semesters by start of externship.
• Eligible to participate in clinical experiences under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Participate in clinical work under the direction of an RN.
• Assist in individualized patient care and perform designated clinical procedures.
• Rotates through a variety of units while gaining hands-on experience.
