Job summary

Avera Granite Falls Hospital is offering a nursing clinical internship for students enrolled in an accredited RN program in Minnesota. This PRN internship provides RN-mentored clinical experience and requires enrollment in a nursing program and payment of any tuition costs before starting.

Selected interns will gain hands-on patient care experience while exploring a nursing career within a multidisciplinary team. The internship emphasizes caring for patients and learning through mentorship.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in CCNE/NLN accredited RN program, with all but final semesters completed.
• Minnesota college internship course enrollment is required and tuition costs must be paid before starting internship.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining histories, examining patients, and documenting condition; collaborates with family and others.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Evaluates patient care by following standards, reviewing records, and adjusting plans as needed.
• Maintains a safe care environment following infection control, medication procedures, and policies.

Education

Some College Currently enrolled and have completed all but the final one or two semesters of CCNE or NLN accredited Registered Nursing program.
