Job summary

SPX Technologies in Cuba, MO is offering a 2027 summer HR internship to gain hands-on experience in core HR functions and employee engagement. You will support records, systems, recruitment and onboarding while learning in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing HR, business, psychology or related fields with a 3.0+ GPA, strong communication, and flexibility for occasional after-hours work. Housing stipends are available for non-local students.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in HR, business, psychology or related field.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Occasional after-hours work may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Keyboarding/typing.
• Ability to read from screen or paper.
• Ability to handle a large volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations including maintaining employee records, updating HR systems, and preparing documentation.
• Assist with recruitment activities such as posting job descriptions, reviewing resumes, and onboarding.
• Contribute to employee engagement and development initiatives, including events, training programs, and feedback gathering.
• Partner with HR team to ensure compliance with policies, labor laws, and confidentiality standards.
• Gain exposure to HR systems (HRIS/payroll), talent development programs, and organizational processes that support business strategy.
