Job summary

Atlas Network’s Events Department is seeking a detail-oriented intern to assist in planning and executing global events. The role involves coordinating vendors, managing logistics, and supporting attendee communications across conferences and forums.

Preference for Arlington, VA-based work with a flexible work-from-home schedule. The internship offers exposure to five continents, collaboration with partner organizations, and a strong emphasis on professional development within a nonprofit

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the event planning team to help plan and organize events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and social gatherings.
  • Assist in identifying and coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and service providers required for events, such as caterers, audio-visual technicians, and decorators.
  • Help manage event logistics, including venue selection and arrangements for transportation and accommodation.
  • Assist in managing guest lists, registrations, and RSVPs. Provide information and support to event attendees as needed.
  • Assist in creating event marketing materials, such as flyers, social media posts, and email campaigns.
  • Be present at events to provide on-site support, coordinate with staff, and address any issues that may arise during the event.
  • Maintain event files, records, and documentation, including budgets, invoices, and post-event evaluations.
  • Gather feedback from event attendees and team members to identify areas for improvement in future events.
