Job summary

URBN is seeking Summer 2027 Design Interns for Free People to learn design processes from concept to final sample. You will explore mood boards, color palettes, sketching, and fabric sourcing while supporting cross-functional teams and presenting concepts.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across Print, Embroidery/Embellishment, and Textile development, with mentorship from experienced designers in a fast-paced lifestyle brand environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); CLO 3D a plus.
• Excellent sketching and visual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal concept presentations.
• Support design team with sketching, CADs, and technical packages.
• Source fabrics, trims, and inspiration for upcoming collections.
