URBN Inc. is offering Summer 2027 Design Internships across Decorative Accessories, Textile Design, and Functional Decor & Lighting.

Interns gain hands-on experience within a dynamic, collaborative creative environment, contributing to product development across a portfolio of distinctive lifestyle brands. Interns will work with experienced designers and cross-functional partners, participating in research, concepting, design development, and technical execution from concept to production, with

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s in industrial design or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Create cohesive color palettes, print stories, patterns, and product collections aligned with brand direction and market trends.
• Research interiors, fashion, materials, color, and consumer lifestyles to inform design direction.
• Develop sketches, mood boards, concept presentations, colorways, and design specifications.
• Explore materials, finishes, techniques, and manufacturing processes to prototype concepts.
• Collaborate with product development, merchandising, sourcing, and other partners from concept to production.
• Refine designs based on feedback while maintaining a consistent creative POV.
• Balance aesthetics with functionality, quality, manufacturability, and commercial viability.
• Contribute to seasonal design direction and visual storytelling.
• Maintain organized design files, artwork, specifications, and presentations.
