Qualifications

• ARRT registered radiologic technologist
• Graduate of an approved two-year program
• Six months to be fully proficient in the role

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient’s identity and explain preparation for exams.
• Evaluate patient’s ability to understand requirements; ensure consent.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort and modesty during radiologic procedures.
• Follow isolation precautions and proper technique; select immobilization devices as needed.
• Prepare and operate radiographic, fluoroscopy, and digital imaging equipment.
• Position patient and adjust exposure factors to achieve diagnostic images.
• Verify patient identification and maintain accurate radiologic records.
• Adhere to safety protocols and monitor occupational exposure.
