UAB Medical West Hospital seeks Radiologic Technologists advancing into Computed Tomography (CT) through a structured, paid extern program. You will receive supervised CT training, hands-on clinical experience, and mentorship to perform CT examinations safely and independently.

Eligible candidates graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, hold ARRT Radiography certification, and maintain BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to complete CT training and CT certification within the department timeline.

Responsabilités

• Complete supervised CT training with experienced CT technologists.
• Learn CT protocols, radiation safety, contrast safety, patient positioning, and image quality standards.
• Provide safe, compassionate patient care and maintain accurate documentation.
• Progress to independent CT coverage after completing training and demonstrating competency.
• Work assigned shifts based on department needs.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to support diagnostic and treatment processes.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of imaging equipment and work areas.
• Participate in ongoing training and educational activities to enhance technical knowledge and clinical skills.
