Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc invites motivated students to join the 2027 Commercial Construction Intern program in New York as part of the HITT Futures initiative. You will work with seasoned professionals on project delivery, subcontractor coordination, and on-site support to gain practical experience in construction management.

During a 10-week summer term, you will receive mentorship, professional networking events, and access to development courses to help you grow toward superintendent or project

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction, engineering, or business.
• Must have internship or related experience is a plus.
• Able to work about 40 hours per week for the 10-week program.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite and project software (Procore, Adobe, BlueBeam).

Responsibilities

• Support project delivery alongside project managers and superintendents.
• Assist with subcontractors coordination, material tracking, and file management.
• Contribute to document control: drafting submittals, RFIs, change orders.
• Assist in bid packages and subcontractor bid evaluation.
• Support progress reporting and client communications.
• Engage in site reviews, safety and quality control tasks.
• Participate in networking and development activities.
