Job summary

You will provide technical support across multiple engineering areas, including Location and Design, Materials, Residency Operations, and more.

Responsibilities include coordinating with VDOT staff and consultants, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• Be a rising undergraduate in ABET-accredited civil eng program or related field.
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to assigned engineering program areas.
• Perform duties in disciplines such as Location and Design, Materials, Residency Operations, Construction, Structure and Bridge, Maintenance, Environmental, Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Operations.
• Communicate with VDOT staff and external contacts; proactively resolve issues at the lowest level.
• Complete assignments as directed and maintain daily project documentation.
• Apply engineering technology principles to daily work and interpret policies.
