You will perform engineering technology duties, record project activities, and assist with documentation, communications, and equipment handling under supervision.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s degree program or higher.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles.
• Must be at least 18 years old at start of employment.
• Must maintain full-time graduate status taking 9+ credits/semester.
• Must maintain full-time undergraduate status taking 12+ credits/semester.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with VDOT staff and external contacts; resolve issues and project observations.
• Apply engineering technology principles to assigned program areas.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on testing equipment.
• Prepare and maintain daily project activity documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
• Interpret policies and procedures relevant to the work.
