Job summary

Minnesota Coaches LLC is seeking a School Bus Route Driver for ISD 550 in Underwood, MN. You will safely operate bus routes, perform pre-trip inspections, assist students, and maintain records while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid license with a clean record and the ability to communicate in English. Background checks are mandatory; CDL training is provided with paid instruction.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical understanding to perform pre-trip inspections.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Must pass background checks as required by company policies.
• Experience in school bus driving preferred, but not necessary.
• Must be able to work with children and individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vehicle along assigned routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and those with disabilities, during boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents that occur during the route.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
